Liverpool defender Sepp van den Berg believes the club’s £20million valuation of the player is too high. Fabrizio Romano, a famous journalist reported that. Liverpool rejected PSV’s offer of 8.5 million pounds to buy Van den Berg. But Liverpool rejected it immediately. It is reported that the club has set a transfer price of up to 20 million pounds for the player.

Van den Berg spoke about his own transfer fee: “I know in the current market (the price increase) it will happen, and the price they want for me, well… “UFABET

“Liverpool might think it’s right because I had a good season. If they want £20-25m, that’s too much. I hope we can find a solution. Maybe I’ll stay or maybe I’ll leave.”

“My first reaction was that it’s quite high! It’s a compliment as well. But that makes it harder, £20m is a lot.”

The 22-year-old defender has been with the Reds since 2019. But has had loan spells at Preston, Schalke and Mainz, where he has made just four first-team appearances, all in cup competitions.

Mainz claim they have an option to buy the 22-year-old defender outright for just £4.3m. But Liverpool sources say there is no such clause.

For Van den Berg, he joined from Zwolle in 2019 for £4.4m and has made four first-team appearances, including loan spells at Preston, Schalke and Mainz.
