Napoli remain confident they will be able to secure a deal for Brighton and Scotland midfielder Billy Gilmour in the final stages of the summer transfer window.
Ufabet Italia report that Napoli are still not giving up on signing Gilmour in the final week of the summer transfer window, with sporting director Giovanni Manna travelling to England to hold talks with a number of clubs over the past week.
One of the clubs Manna has reportedly spoken to is Brighton & Hove Albion, who are keen to sign Scotland midfielder Gilmour as part of new manager Antonio Conte’s plans.
Gilmour started Brighton’s 2-1 Premier League win over Manchester United at the Amex on Saturday, and Napoli hope it will be the 23-year-old’s final game for the Seagulls.
Even earlier this week, new Brighton head coach Fabian Herzeler was expecting Gilmour to remain at the AMEX after the summer transfer window closed.
Meanwhile, Napoli director Manna has agreed a deal Promotion Ufabet with Chelsea for Romelu Lukaku, but talks with Manchester United over Scott McTominay have yet to break ground.
Napoli remain confident of completing a deal for Brighton & Hove Albion’s Billy Gilmour and also want to sign fellow Scotland midfielder Scott McTominay from Manchester United, but they may have to sell first to complete both.
