Barcelona sporting director Deco has admitted he feels sorry for the way the club have treated Vitor Roque.

Roque joined Barca from Atletico Paranaense in 2023 with the expectation. That he would develop into one of the best strikers in the La Liga under Robert Lewandowski.
But after just 16 appearances and an unsuccessful loan spell at Real Betis, Roque eventually left the club and has admitted. That he could not adapt to Barca and considered quitting football. Speaking to โปรโมชั่นพิเศษจาก UFABET สมัครตอนนี้ รับโบนัสทันที, Deco said : “I really feel sorry for him. I think arriving in January was not a good start for Roque. He started okay, scored some goals, but then the pressure of playing for Barcelona started to build, which is not easy.
” If he had come this season instead of the middle of last season, maybe he would have done better. Because now we have a new fitness team, a new start. If he had gotten the chance then things could have changed. Now he has to build his confidence back up at Palmeiras.”
LaLiga and the Spanish Football Federation had previously tried to block Roque’s €25m move to Palmeiras, but after FIFA’s intervention, the deal was agreed. He has now scored three goals in 19 appearances for Palmeiras and seems to be settling in better now that he has been out of the pressures of Camp Nou.
